Join FVPB for Homecoming 2006

Greetings Pep Band Alumni and Friends!

Homecoming is approaching, and FVPB has planned (in conjunction with the Pep Band) a few social events for those alumni and friends who will be in town. FVPB will host an evening social at Orbit Billiards on the Corner on Friday, 15 September and a post-game barbeque on Saturday, 16 September. Both of these events will be $5 at the door. Interested alumni will be able to participate in pre-game scrambling with the band. If you plan to scramble, please send an e-mail to erin.seney@orangevest.org, and indicate if you will need to borrow a vest and/or instrument.

In addition, the Pep Band will appear during the University Programs Council's Homecoming Pep Rally the night of Thursday, 14 September. The band will also host a post-game party around 10:30pm Saturday, and a student-alumni football game is likely the following morning. Any alumni who are not Pep Band members (e.g. have not paid dues) are asked to contribute $5 if
they attend the band party.

The weekend’s itinerary is as follows:

Thursday, 14 September 2006
Evening: University Program Council’s Homecoming Pep Rally, including a Pep Band performance, Memorial Gym
CANCELED - The Pep Band is no longer invited to perform at the Pep Rally because the Marching Cavaliers will be performing.

Friday, 15 September 2006
6-8pm: Appetizers and pool ($5), drink specials, Orbit Billiards, 102 14th St. NW

Saturday, 16 September 2006
12:30pm: Scrambling with the band, meet at 120B Appletree Rd. then scramble to the "Camp Wahoo" student tailgate, the Ed School's alumni tailgate, and the stadium. All alumni are invited to join. If you need a vest and/or instrument email Miles Carey at mac3vp@virginia.edu
3:30pm: Kickoff vs. Western Michigan (FVPB is NOT selling tickets)
~7:30pm: Post-game barbeque ($5), 2300B Fontaine Ave.
~10:30pm: Pep Band Party ($5 contribution), 120B Appletree Rd.
